Hey everyone today’s post is an outfit of the day for wedding guests. I want to go over some “rules” that you need to be aware of before hand.
The number one rule is DO NOT wear white, or cream, or ivory. I know you would think it would be common sense but to a lot of people it’s not. So unless it’s requested in the wedding invitation, please don’t wear any shades of white. The next rule is to make sure you know the dress code. Some weddings are super casual, wear jeans and a t-shirt, while others are black tie. So make sure you are 100% sure of the dress code before hand. The last rule is to pick one asset of your body you want to show off. Have great legs? Wear a shorter dress. Love your cleavage and chest? Wear a strapless dress. This rule is very important because you don’t want to take away from the bride because you’re wearing something a little too inappropriate.
Now on to the outfits. I’m going to be showing you two different dress that I think would be great for a wedding. The first dress is this mint dress that would be perfect for a semi-casual spring/summer wedding. This dress has a high neckline and is pretty comfortable. This dress is from TBDress.com and the heels I’m paring with it are these floral platforms from Steve Madden. Since this dress has a higher neckline I wanted a necklace that would accentuate that. The earrings I’m pairing with the dress are from Claire’s and the necklace I’m wearing is from Forever21. The bag I’m wearing is this silver holographic clutch from JustFab.
The second outfit is more fitting for a formal wedding since it is floor length. It is this light pink floor length dress from PromGirl.com. One of the things I love about this dress is the cutout details around the midsection, it helps to add a little bit of personality to the outfit. The shoes I’m paring with it are these lace up heels that are the same shade of pink as the dress and they are from WholesaleFashionShoes.com. The jewelry I paired with it are these white and gold earrings and the necklace is a gold necklace with a white stone at the end. Both of these pieces of jewelry are from @GlitzAndGlamSpaAndBoutique on Instagram. The bag I’m wearing is this gold mirrored clutch from JustFab
